Job Summary
An online learning products company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Linux System Administrator in Los Angeles.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Monitoring, maintaining and updating our Linux/OmniOS server infrastructure
- Verifying and monitoring cloud and on premises environments and responding to issues as they arise
- Investigating performance and process failures and working to improve them
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to make regular visits to the Los Angeles data center, and travel to the the Bloomington, IL office occasionally
- Experience with automation and configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Background in RHEL/CentOS systems administration
- Scripting experience in languages such as PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby
- Experience racking and cabling servers in a physical data center environment
