A staffing agency has an open position for a Telecommute Litigation Legal Editor in Manhattan.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Writing high-quality legal news and analysis articles against challenging daily deadlines
- Analyzing and anticipating interests of lawyers
- Self editing to ensure articles meet standards of content accuracy
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- JD with 2+ years of law firm or in-house practice experience OR 5+ years experience writing legal news for a major news or legal industry publication
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Proven news judgment and analytical ability
- Ability to prioritize concurrent article requests and commit to short turnaround deadlines
- Experience using Westlaw and other online legal research platforms
