Job Summary
A vehicle development company is seeking a Telecommute Localization Engineer in Pittsburgh.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Taking ownership of a core piece of our autonomy stack
- Helping to develop and maintain company’s core algorithms for pose estimation using a variety of sensors to include stereo cameras and 3D LiDARs
- Developing and maintaining data processing pipelines for building facility maps
Skills and Requirements Include:
- MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent C++ programming and software engineering skills
- Solid grounding in state estimation problems
- Background in linear algebra, probability theory, optimization, and modern software libraries employing state-of-the art algorithms in each
- Experience in computer vision and/or working with 3D optical sensors (e.g., stereo cameras, LiDAR, etc)
