An information technology and services company has an open position for a Telecommute Mainframe Mentor.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Providing technical advice/expert support to resolve issues and to develop coping strategies for the permanent fix
• Providing support, knowledge, encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback to the mentee
• Being an active listener and offer support and encouragement when appropriate

Required Skills:

• Ability to assist mentee to identify individual needs and support career development
• Ability to assist the mentee to identify and solve problems
• Ability to provide appropriate and timely advice
• Ability to share professional experiences providing a different view of the matter under discussion
• Ability to contribute to weekly status report to leadership in technical tower
