Job Summary
A nonprofit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Major Gifts Development Officer.
Must be able to:
- Personally manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospective major gift level donors
- Conduct research on the giving potential of current donors
- Plan, devise, coordinate, and implement personalized major donor cultivation strategies
Position Requirements Include:
- Travel within the region to meet with donors, conduct events
- 7+ years of giving development experience a BA/BS degree, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated success in soliciting and closing gifts at the major gift level
- Interest in and experience with animal rights issues
- High degree of computer literacy and proficiency with donor database systems
- Experience with preparing and managing a budget
