Job Summary
An IT solutions company has a current position open for a Telecommute Medical Coder 3.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing clinical documentation
- Assigning medical codes for inpatient facility and/or professional services
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of performance in the specialty is required to be qualifying
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of industry nomenclature; medical and procedural terminology
- Practical knowledge of reimbursement systems
- Advanced knowledge of the ICD-CM, and PCS; HCPCS; and CPT
- Advanced knowledge of medical specialties
- Minimum of 5 years of medical coding and/or auditing experience
