Job Summary

A healthcare provider needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Medical Coding Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing patient charts and abstracting necessary information to assign codes
• Assigning ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes on all procedures and services performed based on clinical documentation
• Auditing records to ensure proper submission of services prior to billing

Qualifications Include:

• Degree in related field; and/or relevant equivalent work experience required
• Active certified coder certification required – RHIT or CPC
• Minimum 3 years coding experience
• Minimum 3 years of outpatient and E/M coding experience
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Pass drug screen and background check
