A health information management company has a current position open for a Telecommute Medical Coding Specialist in Irving.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing and analyzing inpatient, outpatient, and provider billing
- Applying recommendation of national coding and regulation standards to claims billed
- Preparing clear, concise and legible findings
Position Requirements Include:
- Minimum completion of educational curriculum required of medical license or coding certification
- Knowledge of inpatient/outpatient hospital billing requirements
- Knowledge of commonly used medical data resources
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), teamwork, training, presentation, negotiation and organizational skills
- Ability to read and abstract medical records
