Job Summary
A health insurance company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Medical Director.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in the oversight of the appeals process
- Designing and implementing clinical policies, goals and objectives to meet and exceed quality and cost objectives
- Developing internal review criteria utilizing evidence-based literature and consultations with specialists
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Willingness to travel
- Doctor of Allopathic Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Must maintain an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine, in good standing, in at least one state
- Board-certified by a specialty board approved by the ABMS or the AOABOS from the major areas of clinical services
- Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in the medical and/or pharmacy field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver medical and clinical policies, procedures and programs
