Job Summary

A for-profit health insurance company has an open position for a Telecommute Medical Director.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing medical interpretation and decisions about the appropriateness of services provided
  • Ensuring healthcare professionals are in compliance with policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach on projects

Required Skills:

  • MD or DO degree
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • A current and unrestricted license in at least one jurisdiction
  • Board Certified in an approved ABMS Medical Specialty
  • Knowledge of the managed care industry including Medicare, Medicaid and or Commercial products
