Job Summary
A staffing agency is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Medical Director.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing medical programs
- Representing the Plan in the health system and provider communities
- Promoting the appropriate delivery of medically necessary services
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- Current board certification in ABMS recognized specialty
- 5+ years post-residency experience in the clinical practice of medicine
- 3+ years of experience in a managed care setting
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, utilization analytics and management
- Knowledge of the principles of Quality and Care Management
