Job Summary

A medical transcription service provider is seeking a Telecommute Medical Transcriptionist.

Must be able to:

• Listen to the recorded dictation of a doctor or other healthcare professional
• Transcribe dictation into diagnostic test results, operative reports, referral letters, and other documents
• Submit health records for physicians to approve

Position Requirements Include:

• In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, procedures, and treatment
• Able to translate abbreviations and to reference terms through printed and electronic reference materials
• Ability to transcribe dictation by a dictator with an accent, or background noises
• Able to reword what the dictator is saying without changing the meaning behind it
• Knowledge of the appropriate format or style that may apply to each document
• Knowledge of the English language and of your computer (Windows 98 or above required)
