Job Summary
An insurance company is filling a position for a Telecommute Metadata Senior Developer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Continuously improving operational processes for metadata management of global strategic data
- Participating in and coordinate metadata development processes
- Being responsible for development and documentation of metadata repository across the enterprise
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Travel 25 % of the Time
- Experience with data integration and transformation including ETL, ELT technologies
- 6-7 years' work experience in a development environment using Python, R and/or other Big Data driven analytical programming languages
- Experience with Big data tools such as Hadoop, Map Reduce, Sqoop and Spark unstructured, domestic and global data
- Intermediate level experience with SQL
- Experience executing metadata lifecycle management across business and technical data
