Job Summary
A provider of knowledge management services has a current position open for a Telecommute Metadata Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Create and edit records in a custom knowledge base
- Analyze materials and apply appropriate subject headings
- Create records of printed documents, videos, visual materials, and other formats
Qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s in library science, information science, or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent relevant experience
- Experience cataloging materials in a variety of metadata formats
- Working knowledge of basic HTML tags, knowledge of other markup languages also helpful
- Experience evaluating materials and applying appropriate taxonomy terms
- Proficiency with technology including the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
- Ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot own computer and home network
