Job Summary
An information technology company is in need of a Telecommute Mineral Exploration Subject Matter Expert.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Working closely with the Mining Sales team and Exploration Practice Lead to develop cutting edge remote sensing proposals
- Engaging with our Labs Exploration and Data Science Leads to develop and deliver novel scope of work documents
- Developing and proposing modeling concepts that utilize our platform and the Advanced Mineral Exploration (AME) System
Position Requirements Include:
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a relevant scientific field such as Geoscience/Geochemistry, Remote Sensing or Data Science
- 3+ years of experience in mineral mapping of ore deposits using remote sensing data
- Proficiency in scientific computing with Python
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to research, develop, and implement solutions to novel problems
- Experience working with clients to develop proposals that utilize remote sensing geology
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team
