Job Summary

A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Mortgage Loan Underwriter in San Diego.

Must be able to:

  • Review and evaluate loan documents
  • Analyze customer’s loan-to-value ratio
  • Review appraisals to ensure that loans meet market, investor, and company standards

Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years underwriting conventional, FHA, VA, or Bond Program loans
  • And/or 5+ years experience underwriting jumbo, or permanent/one-time close loans
  • Direct Endorsement (DE) certification with state-specific requirements to originate/supervise loan
  • Endorsements including Direct, VA, Auto and SAR
  • Expert-level knowledge of overall mortgage lending processes
  • Expert-level knowledge of underwriting and regulatory requirements
