Job Summary

A national mortgage lender has a current position open for a Telecommute Mortgage Underwriter.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze loan files submitted for borrowers
  • Identify and calculate loan risk of loss
  • Approve, counter or deny loan file

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • A minimum 3 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience
  • Experience working with Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac Loan Prospector
  • Knowledge of FHA, FNMA and FHLMC policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processing, compliance, investor products and underwriting guidelines
  • Knowledge of mortgage insurance (MI) guidelines
  • Working knowledge of various fraud tools
