Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Telecommute Neurosurgeon Utilization Review Physician in Elizabeth.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Review medical files and provides recommendations
• Discuss quality of care and credentialing and state licensure issues
• Return cases in a timely manner with complete rationales and documented criteria

Required Skills:

• Ability to attend orientation and training
• Board certified MD, DO
• Excellent understanding of network services and managed care, appropriate utilization of services and credentialing
• Current, unrestricted clinical license(s)
• Board certification by American Board of Medical specialties or American Board of Osteopathic Specialties
• Must be in active medical practice to perform appeals
