Job Summary
A nonprofit media organization is in need of a Telecommute News Editor.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding editorial fellows
- Helping shape editorial and organizational strategy
- Reporting, writing, and producing as needed
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Comfort with social media
- Demonstrated interest in environmental issues
- At least 3-5 years professional editing experience, preferably in digital journalism
- Deep passion for journalistic principles and ethics
- Deep understanding of the state of climate science and the surrounding policy debates
- Ability to translate stories into multiple formats, including video, data viz, podcasts, etc
