Job Summary

Our nonprofit is dedicated to stopping child maltreatment before it happens. We are growing quickly and need an experienced remote program manager who is exceptional at communication, coalition building, stakeholder engagement, and overall leadership.

Skills / Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate will have 10 plus years of experience related to non-profit and/or child or social welfare having interfaced at high organizational levels, as well as having state or national experience.

Demonstrated skills in complex relationship building.

Demonstrated leadership skills, especially planning and directing work efforts of others and motivating community resources.

Responsible for planning and governance and for overseeing the successful delivery of the program's output.

Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans.
Working with client's resources, project managers, and staff to ensure all parties carry out contract details.

Extensive stakeholder communications and expectation management.

Demonstrated ability to effectively track, analyze and trend project schedules to ensure successful and timely completion.

Oversee the chronicling of the overall experience throughout the programs implementation process.

Manage risks and issues.

Participation in research design and standardization of materials.

Celebrate successes: be a motivational leader.

Essential Soft Skills:
You will work with child welfare agencies throughout our country to implement child maltreatment prevention programs, both remote and at times, on client's site. The ideal candidate must have experience with coalition building and directing alignment of community resources.

You should have:
Great communication and organizational skills (soft skills are very important in this role)

A demonstrated ability to cultivate stakeholders to build steering committees and provide executive leadership. Experience in high-level meeting facilitation.

Experience with change management and dealing with resistance.

You should be able to motivate others, identify and recruit individuals to help implement programs for child maltreatment prevention: empowering local cross-sector champions in social services/child welfare.

You will need to educate others to understand their network of community resources and share best practices in driving social service intramural and extramural alignment.

In-person support and leadership during first meetings with single community groups and key milestone meetings is required.

Extreme diplomacy and professionalism are required. Sectors you will be working with include city, state, and federal government, public health, the faith community, education, philanthropists, foster care, legal aid, police, first responders, etc.

At ease with public speaking and presentation; grace under pressure with a sense of humor.

Nice to Have:
Clinical / Research Background: Familiarity with data sharing agreements, IRB processes, data security requirements is a plus.

Important Role Details:
Travel expectation will depend upon client needs - the ideal candidate must be flexible regarding travel.

Initially, this will be a contract position.
