Job Summary

A non-profit political organization is in need of a Telecommute Ocean Policy Fellow.

Must be able to:

  • Phone, email, and in-person outreach to state legislators to support policy work
  • Track and analyze legislative trends and share updates with NCEL’s network and key allies
  • Organize large events to convene legislators around ocean and coastal issues

Qualifications Include:

  • Conduct visits to state capitols during the legislative session
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university
  • At least two years of experience in policy or political organizing
  • Commitment to principles of environmental justice and a just and equitable transition
  • Excellent research skills and experience translating complex information into an engaging format
  • Working knowledge of policies related to coastal management, offshore energy, and water quality
