Job Summary
A non-profit healthcare system has a current position open for a Telecommute Oncology and Hematology Coder.
Must be able to:
- Evaluate medical records
- Provide clinical abstracts
- Assign appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes
Position Requirements Include:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Formal training equivalent to 2 years or Associates degree in health care field
- 1 year Oncology/Hematology Coder experience
- 6 months providing coding services within a broad range of health care facilities
- Ability to achieve an acceptable accuracy rate on the coding test
- Ability to use office software, coding software, and abstracting systems
