Telecommute Ophthalmology Surgery Medical Coder

Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Ophthalmology Surgery Medical Coder.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Reviewing physician reports and appending appropriate Evaluation and Management code a
• Providing feedback to physicians regarding coding and documentation
• Reviewing Medical Records to identify diagnoses/procedures

Required Skills:

• CCS-P, CCS,  or CPC certification required from AHIMA or AAPC
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM, Prospective Payment Systems, Correct Coding Initiative, Third Party Liability
• Extensive knowledge of coding and processing of Government claims
• Minimum of 3 years relevant coding experience
• Have extensive E/M coding experience, and/or surgical coding experience
