Job Summary
A mobile technology company has a current position open for a Telecommute Optical Network Integration Planner.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing, modifying and validating designs
- Creating network commissioning and network test procedures and reviewing these with customers and field engineers
- Troubleshooting issues that field engineers are unable to resolve on their own
Position Requirements Include:
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred)
- 5 to 8 years of network integration, technical support or systems test experience with optical network technologies
- Fiber Types (multimode and single mode (Dispersion Unshifted, Dispersion Shifted and Non Zero Dispersion Shifted)) and Signal Impairments in Fiber
- Basic Components (Lasers, Photodiodes, Couplers, Filters, Wavelength Selective Switches and Amps)
- Ethernet, Switching and Routing Protocols
- All other requirements necessary for this position
