Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Telecommute Orthopedic Surgery Utilization Review Physician in Dallas.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing medical files and providing recommendations for utilization review
- Returning cases in a timely manner with clear, concise and complete rationales and documented criteria
- Contacting providers and interacting with other health professionals in a professional manner
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Meets with the company's Physician Review Medical Director
- Board certified MD or DO with an excellent understanding of network services and managed care
- Current, unrestricted clinical license(s)
- Board certification by American Board of Medical specialties or American Board of Osteopathic Specialties
- Must be in active medical practice to perform appeals
- Post-graduate experience in direct patient care
- Demonstrated computer and telephonic skills
- Must present evidence of current error and omissions liability coverage for job duties and activities performed
