Job Summary
A healthcare company is seeking a Telecommute Outpatient Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing all functions to accomplish the coding and abstracting of patient diagnosis and procedure information
- Maintaining patient indices and provide correct billing information
- Working cooperatively as a team with all revenue cycle, hospital and management associates
Qualifications for this position include:
- Travel 1 to 10%
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years progressive on-the-job experience coding with ICD-9-CM and/or ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding in a hospital or outpatient setting
- At least one of the following preferred certifications are required: (AHIMA) RHIT, CCS, or CPC-H (AAPC)
