Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Telecommute Outpatient Facility Surgery Coder.

Must be able to:

• Provide documentation feedback to providers, as needed, and query physicians when appropriate
• Abstract additional data elements during the chart review process when coding
• Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-10 Codes for outpatient surgery

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Intermediate knowledge of OCE, MUE and NCCI classification and reimbursement structures
• Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC to be maintained annually
• 2 years of Outpatient Facility Surgery coding experience
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must have ICD-10 experience
• Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including MS Excel and EMR systems
