Job Summary
A financial services company has an open position for a Telecommute Outpatient Medical Coding Auditor.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Timely reviewing and dispositioning of suspected case referrals
- Conducting review of flagged claims and Fraud Waster & Abuse (FWA) referrals
- Objectively and accurately conducting coding reviews on medical records
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Reimbursement policy and/or claims software analyst experience
- Proficient in the use of MCS 1500/UB 04 forms
- Possess knowledge of CMS rules and regulations
- Thorough working knowledge of CPT/HCPCs/ICD-9/ICD-10, MS-DRG coding
- Working knowledge of encoder
- Familiarity with interpreting electronic medical records (EHR)
