Job Summary

A company that provides HIM coding and consulting services needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Outpatient Surgery Coder.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Working remotely from the your home office providing coding services to clients
• Reviewing medical records and assign pertinent diagnosis and procedure codes
• Abstracting appropriate information from the medical record based on the guidelines provided

Qualifications for this position include:

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CCS-P credential from AHIMA; or COC or CPC credential from AAPC
• 1 or more years of recent coding experience in US acute care hospital Outpatient Surgery coding
• Demonstrated proficiency assigning CPT, ICD-10-CM and PCS
• Top OPS coding skills
• Ability to work from home using high-speed Cable, DSL, or Satellite internet
