Job Summary
A large holding company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Outside Plant Telecom Network Design Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Managing all projects to meet or exceed minimum specifications of Construction Policies
- Performing Copper telephone cable design including size and gauge, cross box design and terminals
- Reviewing Planned Road Improvement Civil Design Drawings and identify/mitigate conflicts
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Attend customer meetings; perform site surveys and walk-outs as necessary
- A Bachelors' or Associate's Degree in a relevant field of Engineering OR
- Five to ten years of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional documentation and blueprints
- Experience in planning copper and fiber optic network additions and estimating OSP projects by detail
- Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record and carry proper insurance
