Job Summary
A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Patient Records Abstractor IV in Los Angeles.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Abstracting clinical and pathological information according to California Cancer Registry
- Assigning ICD-0 codes into the UCLA Cancer Registry database
- Assigning the appropriate accession/sequence number
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years abstracting experience
- CTR certification
- Experience using CNEXT and Epic
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Detailed knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations affecting the confidentiality of medical information
- Strong oral and written communication skills for the purposes of conveying information to individuals
