Job Summary
A business process transformation company is in need of a Telecommute Physician Coding Consultant.
Must be able to:
- Provide coding support for facility backlogs, staffing coverage, and system upgrade transitions
- Perform DRG/APC validation audit reviews
- Assure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of coded data
Qualifications for this position include:
- 3+ years of previous physician coding (inpatient and outpatient) in multiple specialties
- Working knowledge ICD-10 coding and abstracting of patient records
- In-depth knowledge of the National Coding Guidelines and AHA Coding Clinic
- Proficiency in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial provider reimbursement methodologies
- Must have CCS or CPC certification
- Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial provider reimbursement methodologies
