A healthcare management company has an open position for a Telecommute Plastic Surgery Medical Reviewer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Helping healthcare payers to reduce claims costs
- Performing utilization reviews for various types of procedures and medications
- Working with pre-authorizations and appeals
Position Requirements Include:
- Certified with ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties) in Plastic Surgery
- Must be in Active Practice (treating patients for at least 8 hours per week)
- 5+ years’ experience providing care to patients in a clinical setting
- Current active and unrestricted (without sanctions) State Medical License
- Strong computer literacy, including word processing, web applications and email
- Must type at least 30-40 words per minute
