Job Summary

A human rights non profit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Policy and Advocacy Strategist in Austin.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Engaging in policy and advocacy strategy and coordination
  • Providing legislative tracking and policy analysis
  • Conducting state leader training and support

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Ability and desire to travel up to 30% (when safe)
  • Experience in state-level policy advocacy
  • Knowledge of legislative and administrative process and procedures
  • Strong group trainer and facilitator
  • Advocacy and legislative campaign planning
  • Experience using VAN and predictive models
