Job Summary
An agricultural products and services retailer is in need of a Telecommute Principal Data Engineer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Implement data pipeline solutions with a focus on collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data
- Develop real-time processes to move data between various components and systems
- Develop a data pipeline that incorporates multiple sources of structured and unstructured data
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related field or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of software development and data engineering experience
- Strong competency with Python, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and AWS cloud resources
- Ability to generate and leverage system metrics to improve scalability and efficiency
- Experience with data processing technology such as Spark, Airflow, Kinesis, and Kafka
- Ability to build, maintain, and monitor a production machine learning pipeline
