Job Summary
A company that operates a web-based portal that allows users to share their knowledge has a current position open for a Telecommute Privacy Counsel.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Building, refining & scaling privacy and data protection compliance processes and help build out our privacy-by-design program
- Counseling business, product and engineering teams on data privacy issues
- Leading and supporting regulatory investigations and responses
Skills and Requirements Include:
- J.D. or equivalent degree
- 3+ years experience in a law firm and/or in-house experience related to privacy and consumer protection
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state in which you are located
- Understanding of state, federal & international regulations related to treatment of personal information
