Job Summary

A university is in need of a Telecommute Radiation Medicine Coding Specialist 3 in Portland.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing clinical documentation and applying the correct coding and modifiers
• Ensuring that the documentation supports the levels or types of service billed
• Meeting performance standards

Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years professional or hospital experience
• Certification in one of the following: RHIA, RHIT, CCS or equivalent certification
• Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPS, Federal Register, Federal and State insurance billing laws
• Proficiency with Word processing and Excel spreadsheets
• Member of the American Academy of Professional Coders and Certified Professional Coder or AHIMA certification
