Job Summary
An online school needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Reading Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Screening students to establish proper reading level using an informal reading inventory or similar tool
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to select students who are in need of special reading instruction
- Providing diagnostic, prescriptive, and evaluative services for identified students
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Appropriately certified in Reading in Pennsylvania
- Strong technology skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
