Job Summary
A health insurance company is seeking a Telecommute Registered Nurse Advisor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Complete a clinical review of cases by reviewing medical records and criteria
- Utilize clinical knowledge to determine if medical appropriateness has been met
- Manage case reviews keeping compliance, quality and productivity in mind
Qualifications Include:
- Valid drivers license and/or dependable transportation necessary
- Active RN license in the state(s) in which the nurse is required to practice
- Ability to be licensed in multiple states without restrictions
- Prior clinical experience preferably in an acute care, skilled or rehabilitation clinical setting
- BSN or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Health Plan experience, along with call center or triage experience
- Previous experience in utilization management, discharge planning and/or home health or rehab
