Job Summary

A medical coding company is in need of a Telecommute Risk Adjustment Data Validation Auditor.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Validating and abstracting diagnosis codes from provider documentation, entering essential information into a data base
• Participating in Quality Assurance program and follow up training
• Independently monitoring changes in law, regulations, rules, and code assignment that impacts documentation and Risk Adjustment

Qualifications for this position include:

• Proficient and competent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail
• 5 years years of experience
• AHIMA, CCS, AAPC, CPC, CPC-H Coding Certification required
• At least 5 years experience as a medical coder (ICD 9 & ICD 10), CPT, E/M, HCC etc.) in an acute care setting with multiple specialty disciplines required
• At least 3 years experience as a medical coding auditor required
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, Official Coding Guidelines, including the use of AHA Coding Clinic and/or similar authoritative resources
