Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Risk Adjustment Medical Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Documenting patient diagnoses and treatments
• Reading and analyzing patient records
• Determining the correct codes for patient records

Qualifications for this position include:

• Current coding certification by the AAPC and/or AHIMA required
• 1+ year coding experience in risk adjustment, ProFee and/or outpatient coding
• Strong clinical knowledge related to chronic illness diagnoses
• Understanding of clinical documentation requirements in order to support an active diagnosis
• Ability to maintain a minimum quality assurance (QA) score of 95% or higher
