Job Summary
A technology company has a current position open for a Telecommute Satellite Layout Mechanical Designer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting in the layout of electronic units, feeds, reflectors, and antennas
- Maintaining the CAD model of the payload assembly
- Leading and/or participating in layout reviews with the internal team and contractors
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Up to 25% domestic travel
- 10+ years’ experience with satellite layout design
- 10+ years’ experience with Creo/ProE, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent industry software
- Experience with procedures for handling space flight hardware
- Proficiency with industry standard drafting practices
- Experience with creating assembly drawings and work instructions
