Job Summary
An educational provider is in need of a Telecommute School Nurse.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Promote and protect the optimal health status of all students
- Work with leadership in development of policies, procedures, and work standards for the school health program
- Monitor compliance of the school health program with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and policies
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
- Certified School Nurse—licensed and certified in the state of the virtual academy
- State Department of Education required clearances – if required
- Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting health services
- Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served
