Job Summary
An educational organization needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Secondary Social Studies Teacher.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Completing all grading, creating progress reports, and conducting parent conferences in a timely manner
- Supporting the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction
- Reviewing curriculum and devising alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to attend field trips and other community activities and willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Social Studies in Texas
- Must hold or being willing to immediately obtain TxVSN Certification
- Texas Social Studies Composite Certification
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
