Job Summary
A cybersecurity company has an open position for a Telecommute Security Assessor in Rockville.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting the Certification Program Office requirements and priorities
- Conducting FISMA Annual Security Controls Assessments
- Scheduling and facilitating ad-hoc discovery sessions
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to be onsite for ramp-up/training (approximately 90 days) with opportunity to transition to remote
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical area or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience in information assurance, cyber security, or information technology
- Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 and NIST 800-137
- Strong interpersonal, team building, active listening, and attention to detail are a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills
