Telecommute Senior Aerospace Staff Mass Properties Engineer

Job Summary

An aerospace engineering company is filling a position for a Telecommute Senior Aerospace Staff Mass Properties Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Review design and provide suggestions for weight efficiency improvements
• Establish mass properties processes for the entire aircraft and its subsystems
• Provide consistency in means and methods of estimating and evaluating weights, cg, and inertias

Required Skills:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant discipline
• 10+ years of experience doing detailed Mass Properties analysis on fixed wing aircraft and/or rotorcraft
• Experience with CAD software
• Experience with scripting languages and simulation tools
• Developed tools to automate mass properties data reduction and analysis
• Familiar with compiling relevant mass properties data and automating mass properties workflows
