Job Summary
A startup has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Big Data Software Engineer in Delray Beach.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Building and maintaining various data stores
- Owning the end-to-end data processing pipeline components in virtual and cloud-based environments
- Developing and maintaining cross-platform ETL processes
Qualifications for this position include:
- Attend two annual company retreats
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in ETL engineering building distributed systems at scale
- Strong Python programming and SQL skills and experience
- Passionate about database technologies
- Experience using a data visualization tool like Looker and experience developing real-time dashboards
- Understands data normalization and how usage of such things can impact performance positively and negatively
- Strong Linux skills and experience, familiarity with AWS and has an understanding of basic marketing concepts
- CS degree or equivalent experience
