Job Summary

A provider of advanced solutions for both federal and commercial healthcare entities has an open position for a Telecommute Senior Bioinformatician.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Use computational tools to gather and analyze data
• Provide high level expertise in the application of information technology to biological, biomedical, and population research
• Provide expertise across a wide variety of informatics and data science areas

Position Requirements Include:

• May be required to travel 5-10% in support of this contract
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• A doctorate-level degree in Biology, Computer Science, or Engineering, with 8 years of experience
• Or a Master's degree in the desired field plus 6 years of additional directly related work experience
• Familiar with standard tools and data formats related to bioinformatics
• Proficient in MS Office specifically, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
