Job Summary

A data science consulting and professional services company is in need of a Telecommute Senior Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supporting and enhancing data architecture and data instrumentation
  • Defining database schema, creating ETL pipe­lining, and generating reports/insights
  • Defining and evangelizing data warehouse fundamentals and best practices

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proficient in SQL, NoSQL databases, and GNU Linux
  • Experience building secure, concurrent, distributed server applications
  • Experience in data science, analytics, or big data solutions [Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Python, etc
  • Experience with Scala, MongoDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes
