Job Summary
A software-as-a-service company is in need of a Telecommute Senior Data Engineer in New York City.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues
- Implement improvements to our high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery solutions
- Lead efforts to reduce incidents related to database issues and deliver strategies to scale the current architecture
Skills and Requirements Include:
- MySQL administration and expertise (4+ years)
- Cloud Computing database systems
- Application-level programming in at least one language
- Database monitoring tools to identify performance opportunities and maintain availability
- Data architecture & database strategy for a growing customer base
